Email in Education

E-mail in education is beneficial and excellent communication among students, teachers, and parents. As adults, most have a personal, business, or both email address. We rely on this email address to communicate with family, colleagues, students, and more.

Students and teachers can significantly benefit from using e-mail to communicate and learn. By using email, this can assist students with language learning and literacy. This is done through online writing exercises and email exchanges. Email is also a great collaborative tool. For example, suppose students are working on a group project or simply have a question on their homework assignment. In that case, students can utilize email to complete these group tasks and answer questions another student may have.

Teachers benefit from email in education because it is a fast and efficient way to communicate with their students. Students of this generation rely heavily on technology; students are more apt to check their email multiple times a day than to pick up the phone to call the teacher or their paper mail.
